Registration, Abstract Submission,    & Funding Application

Capra Registration

Registration for Capra 28 is now open until 31st May 2025! To register, please fill out the form below. There is no registration or conference fee. To understand how we use your information, please see the Privacy Notice.

The 28th Capra Meeting will be in-person, with online attendance available for those who cannot be physically present.

Please be aware that the requirements for visiting and transiting through the UK will be changing in 2025! By 5 March 2025, almost all nationalities will be required to submit an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) to visit or transit through the UK. You can learn more about these new requirements here.

Information concerning visa requirements for academic visitors can also be found here. Visa applications should be made well in advance. Contact capra28@caprameeting.org for any queries including requests for letters of invitation for visa applications. Alternatively, one can request a letter of invitation in the registration form.

Abstracts must be submitted separately. (See Abstract Submission below.)

Support funding will also available for early career researchers. (See Funding Application below.)

This year’s dinner venue is limited to 120 guests. While Capra has never hosted a dinner larger than 120 attendees, if registrations exceed this, spots will be allocated to those who have registered first.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission for Capra 28 is now open until 31st May 2025! If you wish to edit or update a submission, please reach out at capra28@caprameeting.org. Participants will be allowed to edit accepted abstracts until the end of June. If you are also applying for funding support (see Funding Application below), please submit your abstract prior to the funding application deadline of April 4th 2025.

Funding Application

We have funds to support several early career researchers, covering all 7 days/6 nights of accommodation for Capra (Sunday 20 July - Saturday 26 July). Applications should include a statement of up to 1500 characters from the applicant or supervisor motivating the request. We value applications where the home institute cofunds the expenses.

Preference will be given to early career researchers, particularly PhD students, from developing countries or with limited access to funding, who plan on presenting at Capra and are interested in participating at future Capra conferences. Researchers who do not plan to give a talk but who would like to attend may also be considered, depending on the number of applicants. Preference will also be given to those whose research directly relates to radiation reaction in general relativity and modelling gravitational waves.

Applications will be reviewed by members of the local organising committee and the equity, diversity and inclusion team at Capra. The deadline to apply for funding is April 4th 2025. Applicants can expect to hear back two weeks after the deadline. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate travel support to Capra.
